NGO Extends Outreach Programme to Ipoba Community



As part of measures by stakeholders in the fight to ensure Zero Hunger, Kids &Teen Resource Centre has partnered other Non governmental organizations to feed indigent people in Ipoba community in ondo state .

The project titled "Feed a Thousand Initiative", intend to feed 1000 persons per state in the 36 States of Nigeria including the FCT by leveraging on the partnership of already existing NGOs and Community based organizations in each State.


The project which was sponsored by some NGOs and individual philanthropist witnessed a large turnout of indigent citizen of Ipoba community in Ondo State.

In her message at the occasion, the Executive Director, Kids &Teens Resource centre, Mrs Folasade Bamigboye said that the event was part of the measures of IBI Foundation, Kids & Teens Resource Centre and Breezeyandco to ensure Zero Hunger in Ondo State and bring attention of other stakeholders to the plight of children in rural, excluded communities where the basic necessities of life are lacking.

She said that the children were taught basic hygiene practice like regular hand-washing to prevent infections, and given educational materials as gifts while their parents received clothes, raw foodstuff and were also trained on how to make liquid soap and baby jelly so they can make extra income to cater for thier families.


The highlights of the event was the health talk by Mr Samuel of Breezyandco and talent hunt for the kids, as well as the time-out with Mickey Mouse and Father Christmas who gave the children packages containing goodies.

The elders of the Community, represented by the Chairman, Evangelist Ifedayo Akinnikile thanked IBI Foundation, K&TRC, Breezeyandco for choosing Ipoba community and for bringing joy to the hearts of several children and families.

Mrs. Bikola Akinrinlola, a beneficiaries of the empowerment session on Soap and jelly cream making expressed her joy on the new skill gained and the new opportunity to improve her income.

In his closing remarks, the CEO, K&TRC, Martin-Mary Falana the event was also part of the organization's mandate to reach out and celebrate Christmas with rural communities most especially the less privileged by bringing the joy and fun of Christmas; the message of hope to them and as well gifts of different measures to mark the season. He expressed gratitude to the leaders of the community for the warm reception and turnout for the event held at the Catholic Church ground within the community.
