UN Is Not Creating New Country Out of Nigeria-DG, Nigeria Boundary Commission


The Federal Governmemt has described as false, the news that a new sovereign nation will be created from part of Ngeria by the United Nations, come 10th of July this year.

The Acting, Director General of the Nigeria Boundary Commission, NBC, Surveyor Adamu Adaji gave the information while featuring on the Nigeria National Television of the NTA.

Surveyor Adaji explained that such matter never took place, nor was such decision taken by the UN.

He said Nigeria has the exclusive ownership of its territory from North to South, East to West, insisting that at no time was such a truce reached anywhere for Nigeria to let ho parts of her territory.

The NBC Acting Director General described the news prevalent on such online media as false, misleading and creation of imagination of people who are enemy of the country.

Few days ago, the social media was awashed with story that by July 10, some areas of Borno, Katsina and Adamawa will no longer be part of Nigeria, based on the resolve of the United Nation to create a new sovereign country to be known as A

The rumour had it that 12 of the local governments currently making Adamawa state had been ceded to the new country.
