Schools Principals Seek Support For Indigent Students


Principals of Schools in Ondo town of Ondo state want public spirited people to support the education of brilliant, but indigent students.

They spoke to Milestonenews during a visit to their schools.

The principal of saint Monica's girls Grammar school ondo ,chief Mrs Adeola Akinseloyin appealed to Philanthropists and well meaning Nigerians to assist indigent students facing economic challenges in their studies.

The principal said that most of the pupils were grade A pupils from very poor background faced with challenges of paying school bills and purchasing needed learning materials.

Chief Mrs Akinseloyin hinted she had taken it upon herself to look out for friends and old students of the school to assist the children in sponsoring their education.

Similarly at the saint James secondary school ondo ,the principal ,Dr Adebayo Famakinwa
stressed that a lot of indigent pupils in the school were facing a lot of challenges in buying learning materials making things difficult for the teachers .


Dr Famakinwa who took it upon himself to fix some of the school facilities said the condition of the most of the structures were dilapidated and affecting the teaching-learning process.

He called for improved attention by all stakeholders.
